HOW THE CLUB IS RUN
At most professional football clubs, decisions are taken by a single owner, or small group of individuals who are placed in charge at a club. Things are a little different at our Trust owned club.
Whilst Exeter City Football Club employs staff to run the business side of the club on a day-to-day basis, key strategic decisions are taken by club’s board of directors, all of whom are voted onto the board by Trustees from the Exeter City Supporters’ Trust Board.
Decisions taken by the club board are informed by information that is sourced from a variety of sources including;
Direction from the Supporters’ Trust and its various working groups
Feedback received from the Grecian Groups Forum
Statistical analyses provided by the Gates Committee
Management information provided by experienced staff employed by the club
Trustees from the Exeter City Supporters’ Trust make up half of the board of directors of Exeter City Football Club. This ensures that the interests of Trust members are strongly represented at the highest level within our club.
The Supporters’ Trust has an agreement in place with the Club Board that key decisions affecting our club, will be presented to the Trust Board for a decision before being taken. This ensures that the Trust is at the heart of decision making at the club.
