February 5, 2020

Our under-23s cup victory over Portsmouth FC on Tuesday, February 4, involved 13 young STARS in the starting line up & on the subs bench: Congratulations to all involved!

Since our last update our running total has increased to £8,675, made up of individual donations, and a significant sum from the ExEC 100 Club - a huge thank you to you all.

Your donations are being used in many ways in support of the academy...

* A new 60" TV for the academy meeting room, which will be used for analysing players' performances and progress. It is also used regularly for presentations by staff & by internal and external organisations, presenting to academy staff.

* A two-day course at St Georges Park for the academy physio, Clodagh Mclelland. The ATMMiF (Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football), FA level 5 is the highest medical qualification the FA provide for doctors & physios, enabling the recipient to be a team leader in the event of a life or limb threatening injury. The qualification needs to be renewed every three years.

* New laptops for the study area - an on-going programme – allowing coaching staff to assess and deliver video analysis of training and performances. Staff also now need to routinely record their work as a requirement for regular audits.

The computers also provide access to centrally held secure files, and can be used by all of our scholars, to provide a holistic education for all our young STARS.

Your STARS donations are really making a difference to all areas of our Academy, helping to develop our players, increase staff knowledge & expertise as well as making every day tasks easier to undertake.

Thank you.
