Last night, supporters of Exeter City F.C. from across the United States came together for a hugely positive and engaging Zoom call to discuss the future of International Grecians and the creation of an official U.S.-based supporters’ group.
The meeting brought together fans and members from across multiple states, highlighting the growing passion for the club across the Atlantic and the appetite to build a stronger, more connected community.
Representatives from the Exeter City Supporters' Trust were on hand to listen, answer questions and support the discussion, including Trust Chair Pete Ferlie, Trustee Debbie Marrable and Media & Communications Officer Cameron Ward.
A Strong Start
From the outset, the call was filled with enthusiasm and positivity. Supporters shared how they first discovered Exeter City, how they follow matches from afar, and what being part of a supporter-owned club means to them from thousands of miles away.
The discussion quickly turned to the future and the possibilities for a formal U.S. supporters’ group. Ideas included:
Organising watch parties across different states and online
Building online communities and social networks
Growing awareness of the club in the U.S.
Strengthening links between American fans, the Trust and the club
Building the International Grecians
The evening was a first step towards bringing American Grecians closer together and strengthening Exeter City’s international fanbase. The level of engagement and willingness to get involved demonstrated just how strong the club’s global community has become.
The Trust would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to such a constructive and encouraging discussion. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to supporting the next steps as the U.S. supporters’ group takes shape.
