THE TRUST BOARD
The Trust Board is currently made up of 12 democratically-elected Trustees.

Every year, one-third of the Trust Board will be up for election ahead of the Supporters' Trust's AGM, which is usually held in October or November (dependent on men's first team fixtures).

Trust Chair & Trustee
Pete Ferlie
Pete was very honoured and proud to be re-elected on to the board in 2024, after being first elected in 2021.

He spent the first 36 years of his working life in retail and for the 10 years has been busy getting people moving more in the community, alongside trying to reduce loneliness and social isolation, especially amongst older people.

Pete first became involved with The Grecians with the “Red or Dead” campaign and has over time, sponsored a match, worked in the shop, been Grecian Lion on match day and was a ball retriever during the Covid season.

The more he sees and hears of how football is run in general , the more he believes that our model of ownership is the right one for ECFC and by doing it the “Exeter Way “ the club will be stronger for it .

"It is both a privilege and at times a challenge to serve at Trust boardroom level. I hope my example will encourage more ladies and younger supporters to step forward in future and help keep Exeter City FC inclusive and proudly fan owned for generations to come."

Trustee
Debbie Marrable
I’m a lifelong Grecian who follows both the men’s and women’s teams home and away and I’m always happy to chat with fellow supporters. As a wife and mum, I believe Exeter City should always be a safe, welcoming and family-friendly club where everyone feels valued. I’m here for the members to listen to and represent your views, and to help keep our fan-owned club true to its values of openness, respect and togetherness. It’s an honour to serve on the Trust Board and to play my part in helping our club grow, connected as one.
Trustee
Matt Phillips
Matt is a lifelong supporter, having been first dragged to the stands as a 7 year old by his dad in 1998 (Leyton Orient, 1-1). Although now living in Manchester, he continues to follow where he can, with his colleagues able to tell Exeter's result by his mood on Monday morning.
Matt was elected to the Trust Board, for the second time, in November 2025 and is a member of the Finance & Governance Group. He is a Chartered Actuary (FIA, CERA) and brings extensive experience of working with companies across a range of industries to challenge and improve their approaches to risk management and risk modelling.

Trustee
Nigel Edwards
Nigel was elected to the Trust Board in November 2025 and is a member of the Finance & Governance Group. He has been a City supporter since 1971, and a Trust member since 2003. He was born and brought up in Exeter but spent most of his working life in London and south-east England. Although he lived away from Devon for 30+ years, he still managed to get to SJP as much as he could, as well as travelling to plenty of away games every season.
At work he led on a variety of organisational issues like the development of business plans, strategies, and performance frameworks, and intends to bring this experience to the Trust/Club governance arrangements. Having moved back to Exeter in 2022, he spent a couple of years renovating a house, but is now ready to build upon the sterling work of Trustees and volunteers – past and present - to preserve and enhance fan-ownership of our beloved football club
