Good evening all, time to have a bit of a round up of upcoming fixtures, travel, and match tickets.
Our New Year’s Eve hangover cure tickets should be on sale this week and there will only be a limited number available so if you want one you need to get in quick. I’ll be doing an Exiles order if you want me to get them for you.
Portsmouth got moved again, now on Tuesday 21st December.
Swindon at home on Boxing Day is already sold out in the seats and standing tickets will be limited so if you intend going you need to get your ticket/s now.
Lastly some easy and cheap away trips coming up, let me know if you want to join us, the first being Port Vale this coming Saturday. Then there is the return to Bradford for the League game in February and the cheap tickets for that are available now so I’ll book this week.

In some good news I’ve now discovered that getting the train tickets all the way though to Stoke-on-Trent (via Stafford on West Midlands Trains) then the price is still £28.35 using Groupsave Discount and I can buy them right up until on the day as they are Off-Peak Returns.
We’ll be meeting at Euston at 08:15 to travel from Euston to Stafford on the 08:46 > 10:35, then from Stafford to Stoke-on-Trent on the 10:57 arriving 11:13.
As long as we travel together the tickets are valid on any Northwestern Trains but I’m thinking the 18:27 arriving 18:45 at Stafford. Then go from Stafford at18:55 to Rugby 19:50 then the 19:59 to Euston 21:34.

TRAVEL
If there is a more impossible Tuesday night fixture to attend then I’d be astonished! Either a very long drive both ways or a stopover.
Julie and I are choosing the latter and staying at the rather splendid Egypt Mills at Nailsworth for two nights travelling down on the 29th and back on the 31st.
If anyone wants details let me know.
Paul Lovering is travelling from Cheltenham and will be getting a taxi back to Stroud after the game if anyone wants to join him.

So no FAC game for us but unfortunately Harrogate do have one so we won’t be playing them until later in the season.

Advance (but not particularly cheap) tickets went on sale overnight and I’ve bought the usual ones for Steve and I at £39.70 each return.
We’ll be from London Paddington 10:04 to Exeter St Davids 12:13 returning from Exeter St Davids19:18 to London Paddington 21:39.
Caroline is also travelling down for this one, out on the 09:47 and back on the 18:25 for £40 return.

Another cheap train trip on London Northwestern!
Meet at 08:15 at London Euston to Birmingham New St 11:05 then the 11:27 to Walsall 11:54 and off to the Black Country Arms Welcome to The Black Country Arms
We then get the train back to Bescot Stadium at 14:30 arriving 14:34.
After the game there’s a 17:04 back to New Street 17:28 or 17:34 > 17:56.
Then there is the 17:33 to Rugby 18:14 then the 18:53 arriving Euston 19:59. Alternatively the 18:14 direct to Euston 20:55.
Off-Peak Return so any off-peak train return within 1 month Valid on West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway services only. With a Railcard or Groupsave the cost is £21.05 each, £31.90 without.
