Trust Newsletter | April 2022

Nick Hawker provides an update.

To begin, I'd like to welcome our latest corporate members, Urpad, an estate and letting agent based in Topsham with over 30 years of experience as an estate and letting agency. They were also one of club sponsors back n the 1990's! Our thanks to Urpad managing director, Ian Clark.

During March I was delighted to attend and speak at the Exeter Connect celebration of the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise Community event, held in the Trust Suite at St James Park. It was marvellous seeing local community groups celebrating their successes with us, with principle speaker Cllr Ruth Williams, at an event organised by our charity partners ECI. It was inspiring to see and be with so many people all wanting to 'make a difference' to our community.

You view a video of the event here.. My guests in the match day boardroom for our game against Stevenage was Abbie Britton and Phoebe Baker, 1st team manager and player for our Exeter City Women's team.

The Trust are proud sponsors of the team and later this month, the Exeter city Supporters' Trust, together with the Torquay United Supporters' Trust, will jointly sponsor the Women's Premier Cup Final (ECFC vs TU). Why not pop along to the game and support our amazing team. The game will be played on 22nd April in Newton Abbot, at the Devon County FA headquarters in Coach Road.

Thank you to everybody who has completed the ECFC Supporters Survey. As soon as the output has been properly analysed we'll be sure to let you know all about it.

Finally, can I apologise to anyone who received a subscription overdue letter but who had already paid. We experienced an issue with payments not being processed correctly, though hopefully things are back in order now!

As we approach the conclusion of a very exciting season can I please remind folk of the need to behave appropriately, at home and away. After the Newport County game a number of banning orders have been issued and the club may have to pay compensation for damage caused at Rodney Parade.

Hopefully, we are all looking forward to a special Easter so please, have a fantastic time, and see you on Good Friday for our match against Colchester United!

Come on you Reds!!!! Nick Hawker, Chair

Thank you to our corporate sponsors
