Based Contract: Part-time, permanent
Hours/Salary: 16 hours per week at the Real Living Wage
Reports to: The lead of the Trust Finance Group

The Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day finance operations of the Trust. They will also be responsible for some less frequent tasks, as outlined below.
Day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to:
· The maintenance of accurate banking and financial records
· Processing of invoices received and issued in a timely manner
· Liaising with the Membership Secretary over payment queries
· Running the monthly payroll
· Maintaining the Trust’s pension arrangements
· Preparing a monthly report for the Trust Board detailing income and expenditure for the previous period
· Supporting Trustees and Officers, where appropriate, with financial information
Less frequent tasks include, but are not limited to:
· Working with the Trust accountant and auditor to prepare the annual accounts for presentation at the AGM
· Submitting the annual return to the FCA
· Renewal of the Trust’s insurances
· Working with budget holders to formulate an annual Trust budget and then measuring progress against this
Person specification:
Essential:
· Experience working in a finance role
· Experience of bookkeeping and financial administration
· Strong IT skills
Desirable:
· Familiarity with MS Excel and PAYE basic tools
· A knowledge of the Trust/Club structure and the Club Trust Agreement
