In case you missed the news, any contested election of the Trust Board will now include the facility for members to vote online using the Election Runner platform.
Following the Trust Review and recommendations from the membership, the 2020 Trust Board Election will be the first to use electronic voting, should a contested election be required. The Election Runner software package will provide access to the voting platform for all members via email and will make voting in the Trust elections easier than ever before for those of you on the Trust e-mailing list.
There are still a small number of members (around 5%) for which we do not have email addresses. Therefore, for any 2020 election a paper ballot will be provided for those members. Feedback on Election Runner from the membership focus-group commented on its ease of use and the useful organisation of all the information needed to make decisions on who to vote for. A succinct how-to guide will be produced and shared in next month's newsletter, so please do look out for that.
