On behalf of the Exeter City Supporters Trust, we were proud to mark Port Vale’s landmark 150th anniversary with a gesture of respect and friendship during the League One fixture at Vale Park.

Occasions like this are about more than the result on the pitch; they are an opportunity to recognise the loyalty, resilience, and shared memories that have carried a football club through generations.

For us as a Supporters Trust, the day also reflected the values that guide Exeter City at home. As a fan-owned club, Exeter City is built on supporter ownership and a commitment to community-first football. Exeter City Supporters Trust exists to protect the club’s long-term future and to ensure it remains rooted in the city and the communities it serves.

Ahead of kick-off, our Vice Chair, Tony Badcott, presented a commemorative plaque to Port Vale owner Carol Shanahan. The message was intentionally simple and heartfelt: our congratulations to Port Vale on 150 years of history, and our respect to everyone who has contributed to the club and sustained it across the generations. A massive thank you to Exeter City Supporters' Trustee Debbie Marrable for her effort and hard work in making this happen!
