Match Day Thank You

Here are the winners of the temporary replacement for the Director for the Day, "Trust Match Day Thank You" for the Salford City game. These are the fifteenth set of winners to receive the programme with their name in it, a special pin badge, and a car sticker; as a modest thank you for their continuing support.

Andrew Costello has been going to games since 1986 when his first game was a home match on Boxing Day against Torquay. His favourite player over the years was Ronnie Jepson, who he remember scoring in the rain sodden away FA Cup game at Farnborough. His favourite game is the play-off final win at Wembley against Cambridge with Sir Rob scoring that famous winning goal. Andrew isn't watching iFollow but is listening to Big Bank Theory podcast etc. He is loving the squad and the youth coming through, and is proud of the whole ethos of the Club. Andrew has had some great feedback about our academy from a friend whose son has played there against us, including how much better it is compared to playing at Argyle’s.

Anne Darke has been going to games since first attending with Steve in 2004. Anne’s favourite player is Richard Logan and her favourite game the classic 4-0 win over Argyle in 2019 at St James Park. Anne and Steve are watching iFollow and all the ups and downs of the season so far, with the big bonus being the being the academy and the youngsters coming through.

Steve Hawkins has been going to games since 1980 and his favourite player is Steve Flack. His favourite game is split between he the Cambridge play-off final win and the semi-final against Carlisle in 2017 when Jordan Storey scored the dramatic last-minute winner to send us to Wembley (also, not forgetting two goals from Ollie!). Steve's first game was the Liverpool Cup game, a 6-0 loss but he kept coming. He is following on radio and social media this season, and thinks the team is doing better than expected but, feels that it could be play-offs again which have the potential to be a nightmare!
