Watch the highlights of World Cup Assistant Referee's visit to SJP
Last week, Head of Assistant Referee's Mike Mullarkey came to St James Park to meet the Senior Reds.
Lifelong Exeter City supporter and Trust member, Mullarkey is the only official to have featured in the World Cup, Champions League and Europa League finals, as well as officiating in the European Championships.
"Tagging along" (as Mike put it) with Howard Webb and Darren Cann, he ran the line in the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final when Andres Iniesta's goal separated Spain and the Netherlands.
Chatting to Senior Reds and other attendees, Mike shared anecdotes on his time in South Africa and treated our guests to a presentation on the insights of elite refereeing.
We'd like to thank Mike for taking his time to come and chat to us and we welcome him back to SJP at any time supporting the club he's loved as a young child.
