Everyone at Exeter City Supporters' Trust is deeply saddened by the passing of Club legend Alan Banks.
'Banksy' was one of the greatest players ever to wear the red and white. His 101 league goals and his role in securing the club's first-ever promotion ensured his place in Exeter City history, but those who met him will also remember his warmth, humour and unwavering love for the club.
Long after his playing career ended, Alan remained a proud supporter of Exeter City, giving his time generously to former players, supporters and the wider club community. He was always happy to share a story, a smile and his passion for the Grecians.
Our thoughts are with Alan's family, friends, former teammates and everyone connected with Exeter City at this difficult time.
Thank you for everything, Alan.
Rest in peace, Banksy. ❤️🤍

Quite simply ..... a wonderful fooballer, servant to Exeter City FC for over sixty years, family man, friend and person. For me, with Alan's passing, St James Park will never be the same.
