The Trust would like to sincerely thank all of those who purchased the commemorative NHS/Trust badge during the summer.
When the Trust realised that the founding date of the NHS coincided with the date of their first officially minuted meeting, the idea was borne to commemorate both events with a pin badge.
The scheme was designed both as gesture of thanks to the NHS, and to raise money for a donation to the local HealthTrust, the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust.
Pre-orders were taken to ensure there was a market and then 100 of these limited edition badges - designed by Clive Harrison - were ordered through our normal supplier, the Badgeman https://thebadgemanltd.co.uk/.
There were one or two holdups in production and dispatch - due to what was almost a complete global lockdown - meaning that the badges actually arrived the day after the anniversary.
Despite this, our wonderful members and supporters all declined Neil Le Milliere's offer to cancel their orders, and thanks to all of the generosity and support shown to the initiative we have raised well over the £600 target.
