Supporters' Trust Tournament raises £1,200 towards Kit Out the Cliff

Updated: Jun 16, 2022

7-a-side tournament held at the Club's training ground raises funds towards redevelopment.

Last weekend the Exeter City Supporters' Trust was delighted to host a corporate 7-a-side tournament at the Cliff Hill Training Ground to raise funds for the Kit Out the Cliff campaign.

On what was a gloriously sunny Sunday of football, eight teams from local businesses played out a thoroughly entertaining and competitive day of football.

Together we raised a staggering £1,200 for the campaign.

A mixture of new and familiar faces battled it out for the bragging rights as the Supporters' Trust Tournament champions.

After a tense penalty shootout, it was Trust corporate members Metalwork Solutions Ltd who came out on top in the day's final after a 1-1 draw in the final against WA Consultants. Coincidentally, MLS had also donated an extra £100 towards the Kit Out the Cliff campaign before the tournament.

A big thank you to all the teams who participated in what was an excellent day of football:

We'd also like to extend our thanks to our generous sponsors, Speedyfreight. the LightBrown Partnership and Ruddlestone Geotechnical.

So far The KOTC fundraising campaign has raised over £20,000, but we are hoping to raise a further £30,000. We began with a shopping list of items needed to complete the fit out of our new building at the training ground. Not surprisingly many of the more affordable items have now been funded, leaving us with those that are beyond the reach of most of us alone.

We are looking at way to raise funds for individual products and our friends the Great Western Grecians have begun this next stage of fundraising by pledging a significant amount toward a HD Projector and Screen for £5,000.
